They claim that the Khazars were in fact descendants of the scattered 10 tribes (the Northern Kingdom), and were thus uniquely disposed to accept "Judaism", therefore there may be some truth in Koestler's theories in the sense that perhaps there was a large migration of converted Khazar's to modern Israel, but if the Khazar's were descendents of the 10 lost tribes, then they are still descendants of Abraham - and still Israelites - though perhaps not Jews. Beyond that, I'm wondering if you have an opinion on the notion of British-Israelism? There seems to be a lack of understanding in relation to Jews vs. Israelites, and visa versa, as the terms are used interchangeably - there is a reference to Scandinavian Jews, is this a reference to British-Israelism? In short, Jews are Israelites, but Israelites are not necessarily Jews - there are still 10 tribes to be accounted for. Nonetheless, excellent research. Why do you think the Jews insisted on His crucifixion? It was because He ‘blasphemed’ by saying that He and the Father are One. The Torah insists blasphemers are to be killed, and that’s how they came to the conclusion that Jesus must be done away with. In the end it was a lack of wisdom of their part, because Jesus told them to search the Scriptures, and they would find evidence of Him. But then again, Jesus also said they would not believe Him, because they never belonged to Him (or the Father) in the first place.
